Frank Alfred (Frank Franali, Dr. Scandia) has been in the entertainment business all of
his life. Frank was born into a circus family, and has been a booking agent, concert
promoter, magician & hypnotist, writer and creator of magic. Frank Alfred’s ideas and
tricks have appeared in the Genii magazine, Walshes Cane and Candle Book, and the
Encyclopedia of Illusions. Frank also co-authored Hypnotism for Salesman, and he
recently authored the Asrah levitation book.

Frank Alfred has worked as a promoter for the Lee Grable show and for Ormand Mcgill.
He has toured with his own road show for 14 years throughout Alaska, Hawaii,
California, Oregon, Canada, Utah, Washington, Nevada, Idaho and Colorado. He has
appeared at many P.C.A.M conventions as a performer. Through his company Muse
Productions he has promoted most of the top Country acts including other performers.

Frank Alfred’s lecture is about the Art of Stage Magic, and the Spirit Cabnet.

Congratulations to all the new Board Members! Also, our new meeting place, Coco’s, seemed to work out wonderfully! This will be our permanent meeting place from now on unless otherwise noted.

Our next Special Event is Jeff Hobson on Sunday, July 31, 2011. The location for this event is still being worked out and everyone will be notified ASAP. Since this is a special event, the cost will be $25 for members & guests both. This is not something you want to miss as Jeff as entertained all over the world. Special lecture free to all members June 9, 2011

To All SAM 248 Members & Friends: Next Thursday, June 9 we will be having a special lecture free to all members, $10 to non-members from Tom Craven. Tom does close-up, stand-up and some mentalism. Wednesday, June 1, 2010 SAM meeting

To All SAM 248 Members & Friends,

For our  Wednesday, June 1, 2010 meeting we will be having something a bit different.  We are having a Magic Sale and Magic Show night!!  If you are interested in selling your gently used and/or new magic items, tables are available for just $10 to rent for the night.  There is still space available, so sign up ASAP!!  Also, we need more people interested in entertaining our club members during and after the magic sale, and space is also available for that too!!   This will be a casual night to get together with your other club members and catch up and buy some great magic items!!

Held at Marie Callender’s Restaurant, 4573 E, Cactus Road, Phoenix, AZ  85032.   Social hour & sale starts at 6:30 pm. 

Members free, non-members $10.

This should be alot of fun!

Also, our 2011-2012 Board Nominations will take place, so if you are interested in running for an  office, please let me know ASAP.  Elections take place in July.  We need lots of people to fill the slots, so think about helping out SAM 248.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 is the amazing Nathan Kranzo lecture!! (hismagic.com)   Nathan is an amazing entertainer/magician and you don’t want to miss this!!

Social hour 6:30 pm, Lecture 7:30 pm.   Members are free, non-members $20.

Also, next month is time for the club nominations for our new board members.  Please keep in mind who you would like to nominate!  Elections will be in July.  And in June we will be having a “Magic Sale and Magic Show” night.  We will be having tables available for a $10 fee for the night if you would like to see your gently used or new magic items.  We will also be having in between, club members who are interested performing 10 minutes of magic.  Please email me ASAP if you are interested in performing or renting a table or both.
