Al Garvey
January 22, 1923 – November 17, 2010
Our beloved and “magical” Al made his transition on Nov. 17, 2010. He was 87 years young. His blue twinkling eyes and huge smile was known by most everyone in the courtyard on Sundays. Mr. Al helped with Hospitality whether he was asked to or not. He told you his joke of the day whether you wanted to hear it or not. Knowing there will be no more jokes from him, however, is a very sad day for all of us. He loved this church and was even a Prayer Chaplain for a while.
He was a magician and belonged to a local Magician’s Association where he was the president at one point.
